Barbour Silver Company 1362?

Post by Jimwooten »

New to the site here. I have done a lot of searching for an answer to this but I cannot find anything about it.

I recently acquired a small two handled gravy boat that has markings on the bottom showing the following:

It has a square with a large B on the left and smaller S next to it with a C below the S. I think it's the mark of the Barbour Silver Company.

Above the square is the word Sterling.

Then above that is the numbers 1362. These look hand stamped.

I can't find anything on the 1362.

I can't figure out how to post a picture of the item on here, so maybe someone can also teach me how to do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Yes, it is the mark of the Barbour Silver Co.

The '1362' is only for internal use indicating a model/batch/order type number.

Thanks for the information.

Wasn't sure if the "1362" was a pattern or what.
