Help Identify Kama Sutra Pendant Marks

I got this at a watch and clock repair shop. It was in a curio cabinet with a bunch of other trinkets. I polished it up, but cannot figure out the maker's mark. Does anyone recognize or know anything about this object? Also, why are the marks and '925' raised instead of stamped? Thank you!
