750 conifer tree & 585 RS ring request

Post by whoisme »

Hello! Please help me identify the marks.
Which country do they belong to and the approximate marking period?

white metal 750, probably around 1970s,
the mark looks like a coniferous tree

As I understand from my research, this is not a hallmark (I couldn't find it in World Hallmarks vI & vII), which means it was likely made in the USA, Canada, or Australia, as there is no compulsory government hallmarking there. So, it seems to be a brand or a maker's mark. Can anyone confirm or refute my assumptions, or perhaps recommend literature on this topic?

P.S. The letters at the base of the tree, resemble "CM"

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

I agree, these are likely to be maker's marks only.
