Hello,
This candlestick looks to be a mid 18th century candlestick. The hallmarks are not easy to read for me. One of the marks
looks like a 18th century mark for Bologne - Italy in my old Tardy`s but cant find that standing lion anywhere else.
So might not be Italian at all.

Silver Candlestick

Hallmarks

Standing Lion looking left? Bologne 18th century or something else?
All help is welcome

Definitely not Bologna.
The lion depicted on the Tardy is slavishly copied by Rosenberg, and it is incorrect.
There are 8 different lions of Bologna, seven facing right and one facing left.
Everyone carries a pennant.

Hi, the German city of Dülken coat of arms lion rampant against a castle's tower
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%BClken
The Dülken silver guild at around 1770 used the town mark of a tower and lion rampant facing left.

Thanks Amena and peter for your replies.
The reference to the town of Dulken helped me a lot.
I do not have acces to the mentioned book but with some luck and help from google i managed to find a page from Scheffler's "Goldschmiede Reinland-Westfalen band I"

These look a lot like the hallmark i posted.
I will try to find a copy of the book in a library to see if i can now also make out the other marks. Or maybe someone on the forum might be of help :)
