Please Help Identify Mark On Silver Spoon

Post by cakollektor »

This spoon is very thin, about 1mm thick. It measures about 6-1/8" long & 1" across the bowl. Can anyone help identify the mark on the back of the handle? Thanks, Denise

Hello, this is the city mark of Kassel, Germany. If the letter is an "A", it stands for a production from 1816-20. Maker is J.J. Schaumburg, born ca. 1740, died ca. 1822, active in Kassel since 1789. Best wishes, Bahner
