“Suckling” of Birmingham, “Knight Chess Piece”, Figural Trademark?

Hello, in early 2021 I saved an image of the marks on an electroplated spoon which included an odd looking figural mark. I saw it as a knight, chess piece with a crown base. Later that same year I came across a similar set of marks and labelled the 2 sets as possibly Suckling Ltd of Birmingham, though the “Sucklings” concern is generally associated with a figural signpost mark. Now this month, I copied similar knight chess piece marks from some other spoons, though these figural marks are a little “pseudo phoenix”. “SL” was not an associated mark, but there were “WS” marks, maybe the William Suckling founder of Suckling Ltd.

Has anyone else noted this figural mark, or has more knowledge of it or have a view on my suggestion?

A wild bit of guesswork…Any chance this horsey head is actually a unicorn? If so,then the elimination of crowns in the 1890’s could have led to the placement of the head on something else like a torse? And if that, could it have evolved into the Unicorn brand of wares (see Silvercollection.it unsolved marks), completely losing the maker’s initials?
