Tea spoon - German maker

Post by DEVS »

Hi guys!
Could you be so kind to help in identification of the factory?
It is a small tea spoon with all German hallmarks, first half of the 20th century.
Later the spoon was restored and re-appointed in the USSR, Estonian SSR,
Tallinn, Jewelry factory, year 1955.
Thank you,

Wild guess…”S-Star-S” could be the central portion (?) of the mark of Storck & Sinsheimer of Hanua: https://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_hanau_marks_01.html

The other part following the marks might be a retailer/jeweler name?

Hello, with all due respect - I do not see a S&S here. Marks are from the left: 800, halfmoon, crown, badly punchend mark of retailer Rose from Schwerin, Germany, Name of jeweller or goldsmith who finally sold this, last letters ...DORN, does not ring a bell. Pattern was actually made by Gebr. (Bros.) Koeberlin from Doebeln, Saxony, pattern number is 128 (pattern on both sides). It first came out around 1907, a designer is not known. The pattern was quite popular, it was also made in 800 silver with a blank back (pattern number 128-1/2) and in silverplate.Regards, Bahner
