I have this calander, the marks are "WJM ACO" (WJ Myatt & CO), "Anchor (Birmingham), Britannia (Lion) and the letter "J". The patent number is 9964 which would be around 1853. There is a registry number of 701736.

Can someone help me date this. The J is throwing me off as the only J I find under British date stamps is for 1858 but the site shown the WJM mark as being 1906 or sometime around there.

Thanks for any help. Also, is this just called a calander or something else. Also any info on the maker would be appreciated, the net gave me nothing but dates and the makers mark. Thanks again

The date letter is actually for Birmingham 1933. I suppose it would be called a Desk Calendar.

British Registry numbers are also very helpful in dating. A look at ->
British Registry Numbers
would have told you that it could not have been made before 1923.
