Sunburst ladle

Post by dognose »

Hi,
Does anyone recognise the mark on this ladle? It's 4 3/4" (12cm.) long, the mark is AD or AB under a sunburst contained in an oval.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Trev,

I have a dessert spoon with the same mark. I have been trying to trace it for years without success. I always thought is was something colonial. I found it in Cornwall, but I cannot find any West country origins.

I know this doesn’t help in your quest, but if you do find anything I will be very pleased to know the results.

Hi Paul,
Many thanks for your responce, at least it confirms that it is AD which is a great help. If I find any other information I'll be sure to let you know,
Regards Trev.

Hi,

This is a replacement photograph, following the demise of Freeshare.
