Thanks. I had already found the D. Kinsey in the makers list . These have no pther markings as coin or sterling or ??. I have the approx dates the and had found the Rootsweb pages as I am primarily a genealogist. I was try to get some hints as to coin versus sterling versus an ? alloy. I do not ...

Are these Kinsey "Salt" spoons coin?
I think these could be coin or better but there are no marks, one I cleaned up, the other is as received. They are very very soft and very thin, the bowls are slightly cracked at the drops/stem. There are no other marks except the crack and minor scratched - there is not even pitting that might have ...

Thank you for that - It may have been sent by one of her school chums. She was married in 1939, What a nice token to entice one to the ball! - SO then the maker/silversmith would be most probably from New Orleans? Maybe someone will recognize the mark .

Thanks for the response (it is so good to narrow down the dates - I double checked and there are no other markings except the haystack, shield, rabbit and wheat stalks on the front.

Another R. Wallace mark? 1835 (?)
This is a baby spoon 4.25 " long, I know it needs cleaning but... I realize it is R. Wallace but is not one of the marks posted. According to Replacements Ltd. R Wallace made spoons from 1833 using the nickel alloy formula - Is that what this is? The is no silver plate or sterling marks at all.
