Could it be that this is an old reproduction and the wear from handling has given the charka the appearance of being genuine when it is not?
As the guidelines suggest a little "heat" (my own term) in the discussion is to be expected sometimes. The points that have been made have been great though ...

Russian Silver miniature - Help on Hallmarks?
Hi there!
Can you please help on identifying the hallmarks on this Russian silver miniature? I tried to check the forum, but can't find the maker mark, assayer mark, or the city mark (looks a little bit like Moscow but can't be sure).
What do you think? A good silversmith?
Thanks!

Pretty Lady Hallmark on Candelabra - any guess?
Hi there! Can anyone recognize where the hallmark on this candelabra came from and who is the silversmith? The assay mark is the number three and a pretty lady facing left. The silversmith's mark is "JS".
I understand that this piece lived in Austria for many years - is it Austria by any chance ...

Sorry about the poor quality of the hallmark photo - I tried again to show the hallmark in this third photo - does anyone recognize this H. NEVIR? And although the Berlin bear is hard to see in this photo - you can clearly see the date letter - I think it's an "L" in lower case... Thanks for any ...

Please Help on Early German Maker from Berlin
Hi there! Can you please help identify this early German maker from Berlin and the date letter?
The mark is the Berlin Bear with what looks like a cursive letter "L", and the silversmith (or retailer) is named H. Nevir.
Pics below - any help on the silversmith and the possible date is greatly ...
