As a librarian, may I suggest a possible source for hallmark research that many of us may have overlooked.

I can't read the other symbols underneath the bell, but I just dated a Reed and Barton silver soldered creamer that had a bell as the date mark (1951). However, the two bells look slightly different, so perhaps I am wrong.

What is this? It is approximately 4" (10 cm) long X 3" (7.5 cm) wide X 3/4" (2 cm) deep (not including handles). Is it a business card holder?
