Johan George Hossauer Tankard

I recently purchased this wonderful Hossauer tankard at auction. Fortunately I was able to rescue it from the scrapper that was bidding on it. Unfortunately I was unable to locate the tankard before a previous scrapper pulled the gold wreath off. It is still an amazing piece. Eventually I may ...

Hello all. I recently purchased this little Dutch silver box. It measures 3" x 2" x 2". On the inside of the lid and the rim of the box are the tax stamp in a script I. What I do not know and cannot seem to find is a reference to the other stamp in the Dutch section of this sight. I also cannot find ...

I've owned a piece like this before. Mine was a Vietnamese piece exported to Russia so it had the Russian import mark similar to this one.

German Silver Bowl Augsburg or Hanau?

I have this excellent German silver bowl. It measures 14"x11" and is footed. It is very well crafted. My problem is that I always have a bit of trouble determining Augsburg made items from Hanau. Can anyone here shed some light for me? According to the silver marks reference pages on this site it ...
