APPOINTMENTS

Three recent appointments to the Board of directors of Mappin & Webb, Ltd., Sheffield, are Mr. C.C. Allen, Mr. W.H. Gilbert and Mr. A.O. Wall. All are long-service members of the staff; Mr. Allen, who joined the company as an office boy in the Counting House in 1908, is now Works Accountant in Sheffield; Mr. Gilbert began his career in 1909 as page boy in the Norfolk Street showrooms, and is now manager of the Sheffield Silver Plate and Cutlery Co., and Mr. Wall, manager of the Heeley Rolling Mills Ltd., also started work at the Norfolk Street factory as office boy in 1906.
