I'm undecided whether it is a Dutch or a German artifact, I'm triyng to identify two marks on a silver-gilt brandy bowl, town mark or the pseudo lion rampant for the fineness is partially illegible while that of the silversmith bears the letters CL between an anchor?
Could someone help me to recognize the hallmarks?
Along the outer edge it bears writing that I tried to transcribe to translate and it should be like this ... although it seems to me to be in German rather than Dutch
<<Anno 1656 Octoberis abends zwischen 6 und 7 uhr Ǝst geboren Thomas Wachler genatern Ursula pongraß Zollerin witb? 999>>
thanks to all,
G.
