Hagen spoon

Post by imnideit »

I can find a jeweler by the name of Kristian Bernhard Hagen (in Ã…lesund (1862-1941) working 1889-1941)) but am not sure if that is the same as this maker of the spoon below, if anyone has any info I would appreciate it. thank you, t.

Hello imnideit,

the G in circle-mark looks like the city mark from Glogau in silesia, today Głogów in Poland I think, the spoon is from the middle of the 19th century.
Look here:

Kind regards,

OK than Ringo was right and I was wrong.

The style is about from 1850 - and about the hallmarks I try to make a timeline.
I thank you for this information and the images ;-)

It's not much, but my notes have silversmith E. Hagen is listed in Glogau directories at least 1841-1866.
