Birmingham commemorative medaljon?

Post by rbsweden »

Hi, as i do not know what to search for, i shall just come out on a limb and ask.... Is this what i think it is? A commemorative medaljon made in Birmingham to commemorate Queen Elisabeth ? If so (or if not) can some kind soul please explain each hallmark for me?

It measures:
18mm wide x 44mm long x 4mm thick

It was given to me as a birthday present by a rock star in the 80´s... (true)

Many thanks in advance ;)

These are the Birmingham hallmarks for 1977. In that year the extra Queen's Head mark was added to commemorate her Silver Jubilee - 25 years on the throne. The pendant is in effect a small silver ingot using the hallmarks as decoration.
