Can't recall ever seeing a name for that pattern, patent #D2779 was issued to James Bingham, Jr. of Philadepphia, PA on Sep. 10, 1867. At that size and without piercing, believe you have a hotcake or buckwheat cake lifter.

Kovel's has J. E. Caldwell & Co. in Philadelphia (1848 - present). James E. Caldwell and George Banks were the partners.

I love it, BTW!

BTW, in this forum, an article named "what were these spoons used for?" shows a related spoon by J Bingham identified as "Papyrus"
