One of the lost Chester records? Maker W&WI

Dear All,
I understand that Chester Assay lost a certain portion of its archives and wonder if this maker may have been amongst them. I have looked on every website I know and rechecked the Chester 'bible' but have drawn a complete blank. Can anyone please point me?

Hello Graham,

As most of the fobs assayed at Chester were made in Birmingham you could try contacting the latter to see if "W & WI" was registered there.
