Tiffany & Co Sterling Colt Revolver Belt Buckle Hallmark

Post by Bruce Royer »

Good afternoon,

I have a Adina Silversmiths, Ltd. Sterling Silver Tiffany & Co. Colt Revolver belt plate/buckle that was purchased in 1974. I have a COA for this item from Adina Silversmiths, Ltd.

There is a Tiffany & Co. hallmark stamp on the back.

I have not been able to find this mark during my research.

Is anyone familiar with this stamp? I have also done a Google search.

Thank you,

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Welcome to the Forum.

Can't help much, but Tiffany were at the 221, Regent Street address from 1891 until 1922.

If you can get hold of a copy, Tiffany Silver a history of the company by Carpenter & Carpenter was published in 1979.

Hi,
Only mention of Colt in "Tiffany Silver" is in regard to some presentation pistols with fancy silver grips bearing questionable Tiffany marks. Carpenter suggests that these were made by the Ames Sword Company of Chicopee, Massachusetts.
