Need Help Trying to Identify Maker GMA and Country

Post by johnsonsaga »

I am trying to identify the maker and country of origin of this cross. It has similar marks on the bottom of the front and across the back.

Hi,

Although different, I couldn't help but notice a similarity between your mark and the one in this post: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 671#p44671" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Perhaps there's an Italian connection?

Funny you keyed off the mark on the front. I hadn't even noticed those marks until I was reviewing the picture I took of the front for my whole image. This cross was in an old jewelry box and there was also a sterling rosary of a different style that was clearly marked Italy,so there is a definite possibility of an Italian connection. Thanks for the link to the other post.
