Makers mark CAJ??? silver ring please help
Hi all, any help will be greatly appreciated. I can make out the anchor and lion, having difficulty with the date letter. Also i've searched everywere for the maker mark which is CAJ and have had no luck what so ever. Thank you in advance to anyone that can shine bit of light on this.

Welcome to the Forum.
Firstly a little background on why the Forum is usually successful in identifying marks. There are of course publications which help but quite often it is members' own records of marks which solve the problem.
Here we are dealing with a mark which seems to have been registered in Birmingham and used for assay in 1979. Publications for modern Birmingham marks are sparse and it would seem, from the number of times your question has been viewed without bringing a reply, that no member has come across the CAJ mark before.
The Assay Office should hold a record of who registered the mark. The site is http://www.theassayoffice.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but please first look here http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 49&t=17263" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you decide to go ahead and the Assay Office identifies the mark would you share the information with us please.
Mike
