Silver ink well

Post by aussiemick »

My First post.

I have this silver inkwell. It looks art deco to me. The hallmark, maybe Russian but then again it could be German. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you so much

Regards

Michael

Hello, halfmoon, crown and 800 would make this German. Can you provide a clearer pic of the mark on the right hand side ? Best wishes, Bahner

Thanks so much for the quick reply.

Here are some more pictures. The mark on the right looks like a prancing horse.

Unclear images are some thing similar as to drive with high speed in the fog.

Hello Michael

Welcome to the Forum.

Please have comprehension that »Bahner« requested you to show up a »clearer«, but not a »bigger« image of the maker’s mark of this item.

It’s a basic: Precise questions with precise images are getting almost precise answers.

In another topic, in similarity also »oel« requested you, to »make one more clear photo of maker’s mark«.

Until yet yours questions are mainly oriented in to get knowledge of the makers — so you must be cooperative, and not lazy thinking; that is in yours own interest.

You request with yours kind of actually acting, some thing similar as to drive with high speed in the fog.

The contributors don’t like that — for reason, to could give answers as sounded as possible. But we aren’t clairvoyants — also, if we have by time and while got experience some times to could identify by seeing fractions of marks.

In advance I thank you for yours comprehension and cooperation!

Good luck to become a good photographer too.

Kind regards silverport
