The Hallmarks are on a bracelet which has hinged catches at each end so that any item could be attached, presumably so that Ladies could change as the mood or occassion demanded.

The .875 mark was apparently used in Russia, the Baltic States, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Romania and Latvia.

I have treid to find the makers mark using the cryllic script but no joy so far.

If anyone can help this would as always be appreciated to aid in the learning process.

Not Russian but Soviet, the difference is more than big. Anyway, your bracelet is made in ЛФ6 that is Juvelirnaja Fabrika Leningrad in 1956 (Leningrad Jewelery factory). It is in silver 875/1000. A nice memory from the cold war.

Thank you for this very fast update, I did go to our Central Library earlier to see if I could locate any references but no luck.

It has been said many times before but this Forum is amazing and the members are so helpful with their knowledge, which can sometimes "take your breath away" as the song almost says.
