Whiting Lilly pattern post 1924?

Post by WarrenKundis »

Have been intrigued by this Lilly pattern Whiting Mfg Co teaspoon. Bears the Whiting mark, sterling, and the 1902 patent date. Just to the right of the lion there is another mark. Does not conform to any posted date mark that ran from 1905-1924 which was the year they were absorbed by Gorham. Does this mark indicate the particular weight of the spoon or is it a Gorham Gothic letter G I'm staring at?

These details on this pattern really are wonderful, classic Whiting.
