FISH MAKER'S MARK ON JEWELLERY

Post by simplysue »

Hello to all.

This is my first post on this forum and I have tried to follow all the guidelines. I have searched through the maker's marks on this Forum, yet have drawn a blank.

I have a very interesting pendant, with an enamelled face and a rugged silver insert. It looks very 50's to me. I am hoping that someone will be able to tell me who the maker is. I am sure that this is a well known mark yet I simply cannot find it. It is a symbol resembling a fish.

Can anyone assist me with this please?

Hi

The fish symbol was used by a company named "Fischland" that specialised in silver and amber jewellery. They were based in Lübeck in Germany as far as I know.
