Hello, are there any other marks ? Berger is a common name in German speaking countries, so this is going to be difficult. I would date this to around 1900, give or take a few. Not much older. Regards, Bahner
No there are no other marks just J BERGER, I thought it was a lot older than that looking at the wear and patina. I thought it looked French but could well be German. I cant seem to find anything on the internet, its strange that theres no hallmarks on it. Thanks for the reply though
Hi,
This seems to be to be the same J.Berger mark with crescent and crown .8'00 mark attributed to a Berlin maker (late 19th century).
No further reference.
