This silver cake silver is well marked. I think French? Could somebody help me to figure out who is the maker?

Thanks in advance!

Eusebe Callot

Born: 27 Oct 1805, Villeneuve-Larcheveque, Yonne, son of Jacques Callot & Marie Louise Dessuleau
Married 1: 7 May 1831, Paris, to Marguerite Landelle
Married 2: 1 Sep 1838, Paris, to Jeanne Sophie Joannis
Died: 11 Apr 1884, Le Vésinet, Seine-et-Oise (now Yvelines)

This mark (EC with a crowned chalice) was used from 1835 until 1867, when Callot formed a partnership with his son-in-law, Francois Auguste Boyer. The gothic "E" is a Belgian import mark used 1831-1869 to show that duty was paid on imported items, so it looks like this piece made its way from Paris to Belgium, likely not long after its manufacture.

Hope this helps!
