Silver ring (gentleman?) unknown mark

I would love to know the origin of this ring. It belonged to a seafaring captain so could be from anywhere. Family interest.
5 marks: 1. figure lying on side(?), 2. 13 1/3, 3. CL, 7 spots (3 over 4),
and finally turning ring other way 54.
Any help greatly appreciated.
