Unknown silver marks on pocket watch from 1760s

Post by PeterA »

Hello,

Does anyone recognise these marks? They are on the inner case of what is a French pocket watch from the 1760s, but I cannot find these marks in any list dealing with French or Paris marks. They remind me of swedish marks...

many thanks for your help!

The works may be French, but have a look at Sweden for the case.

Hi - I did take a look at Sweden before, but the info there does not solve the question. At least some of the marks seem to be Swedish at first sight, but are they truly Swedish? (e.g. no city mark)
