I have this wonderful Byzantine chain it weighs 68 grams and measures it's 18 inches long with a shepherds hook clasp. I can't identify the marks i'm not even sure if it is silver but the hook did seem to respond to silver polish. Can any one help me identify whether this is in fact European and approximately how old this piece could be. I have included two images of the marks incase one was upside down. Any help is greatly appreciated. Amanda
