Hello All,
I found this beautiful piece at a surgeon's estate sale who used to travel the world in his spare time. My wife and I have researched it for several hours on this website and others but cannot find anything similar to it. I think it's a fish server, lasagna server or maybe even for desserts.
It is 13" long, 8.8 ounces and has a butterfly with leaf design on the front. The back is marked in Old English with "K", "B", "&", "K" and "S". The back also has a large "S" in a leafy design. It has what might be light hammer marks from when it was crafted but I could be wrong, it might just be from being polished. I am assuming it is silverplated since it doesn't say 925 or have a lion symbol.
We would love to know it's origins and how old it is. We've had fun pouring over thousands of pictures looking for a similar one but now it's time for help.
Any help provided by this community would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi ~ Welcome to the forums. Your piece is a crumb knife/scoop/gatherer, sometimes also called a crumber - silverplate, late 19th-early 20th century, and almost certainly English.

Thought it looked familiar, but my eyes are getting so bad, just couldn't quite make it out...

Cheryl and Trev., Thank you so much for your help. It's no wonder why I couldn't find anything about this piece while searching the "K" catagories.
Thanks again!
